We went sightseeing and also house hunting recently in Denver and stayed at the Embassy "near" the airport - it was actually located in Centennial, which is a suburb of Denver proper. The Embassy is close to the freeway - no signs but once you know where it is, very easy to find and easy on/off freeway. Six Flags is close, within 20 minutes - that was fun, even in May although the water was a little cold.
They have a great manager's special nightly with food and drinks. The food portion left a little to be desired as I have been to others while on business trips and their "food" portions were by far better. This Embassy served potato chips, fritos and chips. The bar portions were good. I had wine, which was house standard. My daughter had a drink which she said was good.
The morning buffet was excellent and the chef was very good, very cheerful and made you laugh in the morning, whether you wanted to or not. Food was hot, which is always good.
The pool was indoor with a huge skylight. They had a spa in the same area which could have been warmer. The towels were plentiful.
For the area and price it was a good choice and I would go back. I paid, as a single, $99 per night plus taxes which is an off season rate.
The area has lots to see and do, the spa resort of Indian Springs is well worth the drive of approximately one hour past Golden. Not many places to eat but the Spa itself is well worth it.
