Speaking of Big Sjy, Montana if you haven't been you should go. The people up there are amazingly down to earth and accommodating and Big Sky will dazzle you with it's big open blue sky, clean air and pristine beauty. A group of us went up last January. I found a good deal on cabin rentals online at rpmbigsky.com so we decided to take them up on their deal. There were six of us so we ended up in a large mountain cabin that I cannot remember the name of, but it was very cozy with a fireplace, large kitchen with stove, fridge and pretty much everything we needed. We all were very impressed with how clean it was(I've been in some that were not so clean). Since it was the beginning of January we were sort of having our own little post new years party, but with healthy food, not so on new years eve, some champaigne and lots of good skiing. I love the California mountains too, but the rocky mountains are to die for- Colorado, Montana, Wyoming. I will be taking another trip up there this winter.
